Creation or Evolution: The Foundation of Our Lives

The Creation Debate with Evolution is one of the most important debates you will ever study. Were we created by God or are we just an accident brought about by chance. The view you hold on this topic will impact your faith in the Bible, God, and how you live your life.

I (Matthew) was taught evolution in high school and in college. When I became a Christian I knew immediately that if Evolution were true, Christianity was not. The first major struggle I experienced as a new christian was separating the truth facts from the theories of evolution. There are many excellent books, videos, and tapes that can help anyone interested in knowing the truth to have the facts to back up their faith. One of the first steps is understanding that evolution is also a faith that many hold to just as much by “faith” as the Creationists do.

I recently purchased some videos (DVD’s) from Answersingenesis.org. Wow are they good! (I picked them up during my visit recently to the Creation Science Museum in Kentucky). One of the best is the video called Startlight and Time. Have you ever wondered for example, if the earth was created recently (thousands not billions of years), how could the light have traveled so far (billions of light years) in such a short span of time?. This video is awesome! They explain and “show” a theory/way that it could happen that is really eye opening!

Our Visit To The New Creation Museum!

Many of you know about the new Creation Museum that opened recently in northern kentucky.

My Family and I took a mini-vacation to visit it this month (July 2007). We all really had a good time!

The Creation Museum was very popular with folks visiting. At our hotel for instance, most of the people we talked to or overheard were going to visit it.

The pictures and animatronics were excellent. My favorite part I think was when we watched a video on the 6 days of creation. The movie was in 3d…. it was awesome! Be sure to watch it when you go!

For your own info, we found that the lines on Sunday were much smaller than the lines on Saturday….

The Museum will really make you think about the importance of our belief systems and the impact of what we believe on our lives. If you have any questions regarding the Museum … post them here and I’ll respond!

P.S. on a side note…. be sure you get directions to and from the Museum… as well as directions to and from the museum from the hotel/motel you are going to stay at. We found that finding the Museum was easy… but some of the workers at the local motels/hotels did not know how to give directions to and from the Museum.
